Three Wheeled Buggies
Three-wheeled buggies are great for walking around the neighborhood or for jogging. Their compact design makes it easy to maneuver, even in tight spaces.

Sturdy frame
New data show that three-wheeled buggies, that symbol of the decade that had more money than common sense, are in steep decline. They have been replaced by four-wheelers which can be more versatile in terrain, yet still look elegant and easy to push.

MFM reviewer Kath tested this buggy with an infant and a 3-year-old child and found it to be extremely sturdy. It was able to handle cobbles, grass and rough pavements as well as dirt tracks and kerbs. Kath said that "it is solid to push and very solid when traversing difficult terrain. Its tyres (which are inflatable so need periodic pumping) have suspension built-in which was extremely comfortable for my children.
Another thing to consider is the size and shape. You'll want it to be big enough for your child's comfort and you will also need it to recline for them to lie flat. Some three-wheel buggies offer an option to lie flat completely while others only allow for an adult facing one.

Others are designed to run and have fixed wheels that lock to provide increased speed and stability. This is especially useful when you hit trees or a kerb. The front wheel will be lifted slightly to keep it from hitting it.
A majority of 3 wheel pushchairs come with air filled tyres which means they can handle many different terrains and are much more flexible than 4-wheeler. They also tend to be lighter. However, they're prone to punctures, so you'll need an repair kit, spare tube and pump in your bag.

Both buggies feature larger wheels that, according to MFM reviewer Kath, "perform really well on gravel tracks, grass and market town cobbles" and are able to easily climb and descend kerbs. The buggies also come with suspension that, according to Kath "smooths out bumps with great efficiency".
The drawback of having larger wheels is that they can make some buggies quite wide and may struggle to squeeze through narrow spaces. This can be an issue when you're using it for a jogger or you need to maneuver through narrow doorways when out and out and about. The majority of models come with compact folding options, which permit you to take off the front wheels and store them more compactly.
Easy to Manoeuvre

The only drawback of this incredible maneuverability is that the three wheel buggy's larger wheels sometimes mean that it will be difficult to maneuver in tight spaces - something to be aware of if you live in a urban region. If this is a problem, a 4-wheeled buggy may be a better option for you.
